This quaint little cafe is full of charm and appeal. A relaxing place for you to come with all the family. I have been here many times over the years, but what is it about it that makes me keep coming back?
A Place Of Peace And Tranquility
The cafe is set in the beautiful Queens Park in the heart of Loughborough. For anyone that wants to chill out and take a break this is the place to be. The cafe is no exception to this either. Outside when the weather is a little warmer you can sit while having a drink and snack and watch as people come and go in the park. You can look out over the park to the huge oak trees, flower beds and water features. Each of these add to making you feel whisked away from all your troubles or woes.
An Old Fashioned Tea House
As you can see from this picture there are many tables and chairs set out and plenty of room for everyone. There is even a little corner for the children to play in. A little toy kitchen for children to make their favourite dishes, a book to read while they have a milkshake or a chance to draw and colour with their friends.
I have sat in here and have imagined that it housed old fashioned tea dances. People coming together and enjoying an afternoon of food and dance. The windows in this place add to this don’t you think? As it is an old Victorian building it would have been easy to imagine that this could have happened.
No Need To Worry
Over the years the reason I come here is because when I get too anxious I can’t face the town centre. This has been my safe haven. The staff here are really lovely and you really feel at home. If you come by yourself like me most of the time, it is somewhere that is like having a cuppa with your mum or nan. A place full of laughter and love. All of us need that in our life’s and in coming here you get just that.
The girls that work here are laughing and hiding because they don’t want to have their picture taken, a lovely image and proof that its a fun place to be.
Art Exhibitions
On the walls in the cafe you will find artwork that has been created by local artists. Throughout the year they have many artists exhibit their work.
